If yoga was on one side of a line and standard Swedish massage was on the opposite, Thai massage would land directly in the middle.
I like to describe it as someone ‘doing’ yoga on you. Â You remain at rest, and the body is positioned into yoga-type positions where it is moved, massaged, twisted, and kneaded. Â All while focusing on deep, long inhalations and exhalations. And, dare I say it, it’s much better than a standard massage.
Thai massage is said to have been invented by Budda’s own physician, and is known as “ancient massage”. Â In Thailand today, it is common knowledge and practiced by all.
Recipients wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing (sweats, yoga pants,  even pajamas will do in a pinch).  No oil is used, The bodywork can be adjusted to specific needs, but the general sequence will relax, restore, and then invigorate the breath and energy of the body.
Benefits of a Thai Massage/Yoga Session include:
- Pain Relief
- Deep Relaxation
- Increased Energy
- Increased Circulation
- Increased Flexibility & Range of Motion
- Stress Reduction
- Detoxification
- Reconnection of mind-body-spirit
